Chapter Z x Hilton Pride Presents Best UK Pride Events in 2022
The Best Pride Events in the UK
Pride 2022 will mark 50 years since the inaugural parade took place in the UK. Hilton is uniting with Pride 365 intending to put a stop to pinkwashing and to bring about real change within the workplace and wider society. Hilton aims to promote open and public support of the LGBTQ community 365 days a year, not just for Pride season. We are diverse by nature and inclusive by choice.
We have gathered some of the best Pride events in the UK and where to stay with us so that you can have a fun, inclusive and convenient weekend away.
Dublin Pride Festival: 22nd-28th June
On the 25th of June, Merrion Square will host a day festival with two stages, plenty of food, a family-friendly area and their new sustainability zone. Mother are hosting a weekend of Pride celebrations where Olly Alexander from It’s a Sin will perform at the opening party on 24th June. Conrad Dublin is a convenient 10-minute walk away from Merrion Square. The perfect distance to come back for a mid-afternoon nap to recharge for the night or to stumble home after the festivities.
Pride in London: 2nd July
Our capital city always has zestful Pride celebrations that everybody should experience at least once. They have events on throughout June and early July, from LGBT Open Mic Nights to Free Psychic readings to Lesbian Soirees. There is something for everybody to try. Get the Bakerloo to Hilton London Metropole from Soho, London’s vibrant LGBTQ+ district.
Pride in Liverpool: 30th July
Get colourful in Liverpool City Centre and boogie all night long at its energetic gay clubs. Everybody is welcome to share the love and let themselves go. Hilton Liverpool City Centre is only a 10-minute walk from Stanley Street Quarter, where the best LGBTQ-friendly events after the parade will take place. Grab classic pub-style food at The Lisbon and admire its intricate ceiling or catch a drag show at Liverpool’s friendliest gay bar: The Masquerade.
Brighton & Hove Pride: 5-7th August
Brighton & Hove has the most extravagant Pride event in the UK, arguably one of the best in the world. As the UK’s unofficial LGBTQ capital, it attracts thousands of people of all identities from around the country. Combine the glitter with a mixture of cabaret, live music and sunny beach relaxation.
Hilton Brighton Metropole is on the seafront and close to the festivities. Meaning you can dip in and out throughout the day when you and your gang need to freshen up.
Manchester Pride: 26th-29th August
For the full Bank Holiday Weekend, Manchester will be “partying for protest” in the name of LGBTQ+ freedom of expression. Canal Street, the centre of Manchester’s gay village is only a 15-minute walk from Hilton Manchester Deansgate. The Gay Village Party will be bursting with the most creative LGBTQ+ performers, a line-up co-designed with the local community. You can expect icons such as Bimini Bon Boulash and Ginny Lemon from Drag Race to be performing.
