Catch the NAZAR IMPACT event at Rich Mix, Shoreditch

The summer of 2022 saw founders of NAFS Space, Drew Demetry, and founder of HUNGAMA, Ryan Lanj, come together to create NAZAR. NAZAR (which means to be visible) is the first pride celebration centred around the S.W.A.N.A and South Asian community.

Following the overwhelmingly positive response to their first event at the Southbank Centre in July, Demetry and Lanji are back with NAZAR’s second instalment. Set to take place at RICH MIX on Friday 13th January 2023, NAZAR IMPACT’s club night will fuse with queer excellence, allowing creatives to come together as a loud statement of art, music and culture and champion one another.

These creatives will be from the queer South West Asian and North African (S.W.A.N.A) and South Asian diaspora communities. This time, the line-up will include SEKSU, Aria Homiebaba, Aran Cherkez, Shivum Sharma, My Panda Shall Fly, Saliah, Hasna and Tahini Molasses.

Throughout the night, hosts also will encourage the attendees to submit/nominate their peers in the following categories:

Face (Model of the Year)
Music
Film & Television
Personality / Influencer
Activist or Collective
DJ
Fine Artist
Entrepreneur

The nominated individuals will be tallied and showcased on a designated website. NAZAR will also host a summer gala to welcome all nominees, media, press and thought leaders to celebrate and enjoy the beginning of this new multifaceted and multicultural community.
